A widow intends to exchange vows with her pet dog after her preceding spouse, who happened to be a cat, passed away.

The couple, Dominique Lesbirel, 41, from Holland, and her feline Doerack, was happily wedded eight years ago. However, things took an unfortunate turn when the cat needed to be put to sleep after his battle with kidney problems.

Dominique was filled with grief and torment due to her loss. But now, the time of tears for her seems to have reached its end because she has found love in Travis, her pet dog, to whom she plans to give her sweet ‘I do’. While she does intend to marry the dog, she believes that it’s still to early to leap into matrimony at this moment.

Dominique married her cat Doerack eight years ago, but sadly he had to be put down.

Dominque Lesbirel, 41, has always loved animals, and when she went on holiday to Greece, she found herself adopting and bringing home stray cats back to the UK.

Lesbirel handles a business labeled Marry Your Pets. As the business name implies, it’s all about conjugating pets and owners. Dominique has reaped a myriad of criticisms as well as a bunch of perilous threats from people who are prosecuting her of advocating bestiality.

Lesbirel strongly oppose the accusations and asserts that she is, in no way, perpetuating bestiality by saying:

“I would never perpetuate such horrid acts of barbarism to animals. My site is pertaining to create a covenant with pets and to manifest your devotion to them and vow that you will constantly nurture them.”

Although Dominique wants to move on from Doerack, she says it is still a bit early to marry Travis.

Lesbirel motivates her customers to see the rite as a regular wedding, with everything being arranged prior to the ceremony like inviting colleagues and preparing bountiful banquet to celebrate. She stated though that not every function is approved and stated:

“There are regulations, same as any marriage.

I’m glad to perform same sex marriages, or to allow people wed multiple pets. I strictly espouse domestic animals, though. In other areas around the world, you learn that a handful of individuals having tigers and lions as pets — I won’t join people to them.

I also need to know for certain that they sincerely love and honor their pet.”

In addition, once you exchange vows, there’s to turning back. Separation is out of the question with Marry Your Pets. Now, that is good business.

Dominique says that not everyone is understanding of the website and she has received death threats.

Dominique won’t allow any divorce on her site because she doesn’t want anyone to abandon their pet.
