British Shorthair
In the UK, the British Shorthair breed is very popular. They are commonly seen in various cat shows. They have a stable character, which makes them ideal for people who live in apartments. The average price range is around $500 – $1,500.
Scottish Fold
Because of their distinct physical traits, the Scottish Fold is considered among the most sought-after pets. Kitten Folds cost significantly higher than any other cat breeds, but they can still be purchased for around $200 – $3,000.
Sphynx
The Sphynx is considered one of the most famous cat breeds all over the world. Their average price would range from $300 to $3,000. This breed can be easily identified because of their “hairless” nature. Also, they need special treatment.
Russian Blue
Russian Blues can be bought at a price ranging from $400 – $3,000. This breed is known to be wise, playful and curious. They also go along well with other pets and are considered safe for children.
Peterbald
Peterbalds are the results of mating a female Oriental Shorthair World Champion and a Donskoy. The energetic, smart and inquisitive cat breed has a slim and graceful muscular build, which makes them recognizable among the rest. They get along well with other pets. Peterbalds cost $1,200 – $5,000.
Persian Cat
With a price ranging from $500 – $5,500, Persian Cats hold the fifth spot in Explore Talent’s list of most expensive cat breeds. A Persian Cat is a long-haired breed of cat that is easily distinguished because of its round face and shortened muzzle.
Allerca Hypoallergenic Cat
An Allerca Hypoallergenic cat is a result of genetic researches on lifestyle pets, otherwise known as Allerca. Scientists tried to disable the gene in cats that cause allergic reactions to human beings that is why Allercas are formed. This breed costs about $6,000.
Bengal
Bengals are hybrid cats that are formed by cross breeding a domestic feline and an Asian Leopard Cat. These cats look beautiful and stunning. For a typical pet owner, Bengals can be kept as pets for at least four generations. Bengals can be purchased at a price from $1,000 – $25,000.
Savannah
A Savannah is another domestic hybrid cat. It is the product of breeding a Serval and a domestic cat. Because of their loyalty, they are frequently compared to dogs. Aside from that, they are also very intelligent. A Savannah cat costs $1,500 – $50,000.
Ashera
Ashera is a hybrid cat of African origin. The breed is a result of the Asian leopard cat and a domestic housecat. Asheras are known to be very loyal, affectionate and intelligent as well. Though the authenticity and the origins of the Asheras are being argued, they are still the most expensive cat breed. An Ashera costs around $15,000 – $100,000.
