VIDEO: Brothers Save Bald Eagle Caught in a Trap …WOW!

,

A viral clip has circulated online that shows a bald eagle being rescued from a hunting trap in Canada.

Two Canadian brothers named Neil and Michael Fletcher were the boys who saved the trapped eagle near the town of Dowling in Ontario, Canada. Since it was posted last November 24, the viral video has been viewed by thousands of  people.

The brothers said the eagle was trapped with its talons in a claw trap made from fur trappers.

“It was attached to a stake and the eagle was trying to fly up, but it only had a foot of slack in the chain,” Michael shared.

“It was relieving to see that it was still alive. I knew we had to do something right away,” Neil added.

“At first the eagle was a bit nervous to have my brother and myself there . . . as soon as he realized we were trying to help, he kind of calmed down a little bit. His head would kind of move back and forth to look at us, but that was the most he’d do,” Neil said.

The brothers posed for a quick shot before they sent the eagle on its way after they freed it from the trap.

When asked whether the authorities said something regarding the selfie they took with the eagle, Michael told the local reporters that they [authorities] were just happy that they were able to save the poor creature. He added, “They just said thanks for letting it go, and that they would be contacting the trapper to see if he could set the trap differently.”
