The tallest clock tower in the world with the biggest clock face is located in Mecca, Saudi Arabia. This masterpiece of engineering breaks over 30 world records. It has over 98 million glass tiles and a 24 carat gold leaf. At night, it is visible at a distance of over eight kilometers.
This tower, which is thirty-five times bigger than Big Ben, stands at 1,972 feet. The clock face is 43 meters wide with the minute hand being 23 meters long. The clock drives weigh 21 tons each.
Philadelphia City Hall in Philadelphia, United States
The tallest building in the world was at one point the Philadelphia City Hall. This marble, limestone, and granite structure is 548 feet tall. The four clock faces are 26 feet in diameter.
