When you combine chocolate and mint together, it is literally heaven.
Chocolate Mint is one of the most popular flavors that is used the creation of several delectable desserts. This does not come as a surprise as the sweet and luscious taste of the chocolate readily combines with the refreshing and cooling sensation of the mint. If this fusion does not make your mater then why not try this delicious treat that marries these two perfect flavor together.
What to prepare:
For the cake:
- A box of Betty Crocker Super Moist White Cake Mix with pudding in the mix
- cold water, 1-1/4
- vegetable oil, 1/3
- egg whites, 3 pieces
- Creme de Menthe, 4 oz.
- jar hot fudge topping, 1 16-oz.
- Creme de Menthe, 2 oz.
- 1 thawed container of Cool Whip, 8 oz.
How to prepare:
1.) Once your ingredients are all prepared, spray the bottom only of 9” x 13” pan with cooking spray. You then preheat your oven to 350 degrees if your oven has the metal or glass pan or 325° for dark or nonstick pan kind.
2.) In large bowl, combine the following ingredients: cake mix, water, oil, and egg whites on low speed for 30 seconds, then on medium speed for 2 minutes more. Slowly pour in the Creme de Menthe into the mixture and combine.
3.) Pour the mixture into your pan and bake the cake for 27 to 32 minutes. To know if your cake is cook insert a toothpick at the center of the cake and see if it emerges clean.
4.) In another bowl, combine 2 ounces of Creme de Menthe and Cool Whip.
5.) Once cake is baked and cooled, slowly spread the fudge all over the cake. Garnish the cake with your favorite brand of chocolate mints.
6.) Store in your refrigerator until served.
