What you need:

2 cans (8 oz each) Pillsbury™ refrigerated crescent dinner rolls

  • 1/2 cup well drained roasted red bell peppers from a jar
  • 8 slices halved provolone cheese, 1/3 lb deli sliced hot salami
  • 1/4 lb deli sliced ham, 1/4 lb deli sliced capocollo
  • 1/2 cup well drained hot pepper rings from a jar

Follow these steps:

Heat oven to 375°F.

Prepare two cans of dough. Unroll them, and then separate these into eight rectangular pieces. Arrange these rectangles forming a ring on a foot-long pizza pan. The pan should be ungreased. Make sure that the short sides of the rectangular pieces form a circle at the center and that half of every piece will appear hanging over the edge, resembling a sun (like the picture below).

Roast some bell peppers and place them beside the center of the ring. Top it with a cheese cut in half. At the top of the cheese, layer ham, capocollo, and salami slices. Spread some pepper rings over the top and use the second half of the cheese to cover it.

Remember the part of the rectangles you left hanging on the edge of the pan? Bring them over the stacked filling. This will tuck the dough at the bottom layer, keeping it secured. Repeat the same step until the whole filling is covered. Then sprinkle the entire thing with black pepper.

Leave it in the oven for 18 to 22 minutes. See if it turned golden brown and thoroughly baked before you take it out. Once cooked, let it cool for 5 to 10 minutes. You can then cut it into pieces and serve.

Here’s a photo of the final result. Enjoy!
