The Kala Toast in Hong Kong has successfully created a rainbow-grilled cheese. The new kind of food took the Internet by storm, and ever since a photo of it surfaced, a lot of people have wondered how it is made. Could it be that they have sacrificed a unicorn in the process?

Hong Kong–based food blogger and Instagram user @hkfoodiexblogger explained that the rainbow-colored food has four types of cheese and each color has a different flavor. She wrote, “The toast costs $42 HKD [$6 USD] and those colored cheese are lavender (blue), basil (green), tomato (red) and the yellow one is actually the combination of 4 kinds of cheese (mozzarella, cheddar, emmental, and gruyere). The toast was crispy, but I reckon both the flavor of the lavender and tomato were subtle. The basil flavor was the most outstanding one comparatively, but the cheese flavor was still not as strong as my expectation. It was also a bit oily in general. I would say the quality was rather average, but we all cannot deny that it is photogenic.”

Although the blogger said that the rainbow-grilled cheese wasn’t the best when it comes to taste, it’s quite obvious that anyone should give it a try. Who could resist a rainbow-colored food anyway, right?
