It’s every child’s desire to see Santa Claus, the one whom they believe is responsible for bringing them gifts and putting presents under the Christmas tree. Every kid always wears a big smile on their face every time they see Jolly Ol’ Nick, even if it’s just someone on a costume.
But this story is different from the typical Santa-related tales. This is about the story of a child who mistook a man for Santa Claus at a local cafe. But instead of telling him to go back to his parents, the kind man didn’t shove the kid away and talked to him instead.
The story has gained so much attention from netizens.
Mark Hurson saw a little boy approaching the bearded man at a Tim Hortons in Ontario, Canada, with an expression on his face that says he was amazed. He then took a shot of the man and shared the photo on his Facebook page on November 16.
Hurson also wrote, “The older gent looked down and smiled and asked him if he sent his letter into him yet. The boy said no and he would be doing it tonight.”
“Santa” then had a talk with the boy and gave him an important advice after that short interaction.
Hurson added, “He said you better be nice to your mom and sister because I’m watching. He then said good-bye and was going back to the North Pole to finish the toys with the elves. Everyone in the restaurant was a bit teary-eyed! (Including me!) There are some great people left in the world.”
Since Hurson shared online what he witnessed that day at Tim Hortons, his post has amassed over 18,000 shares. One reader even wrote to Hurson, saying that it brings back a lot of beautiful childhood memories. The same person even said that although he’s already 47 years old, he still believes that Santa is real. He added that the story is a magnificent relief from all the violence, anger, and hate that envelopes the world at present. We didn’t know that Santa snacked at Tim Horton’s!
