Best Christmas Gift
Santa Claus stays true to his name as he gives a five-year old boy from Ohio his ultimate Christmas gift, which was to have his soldier dad home for the holidays.
Jordyn Thwing asked Santa Claus at a photo booth in Parmatown Mall on Friday, “Could you bring my dad home?”
Santa Claus worked his magic and amidst the magic silver dust, his father US Army Sgt. Benjamin Thwing of Cleveland emerged from behind.
The startled boy smiled and hugged his dad.
“I didn’t expect anything like this, I’m happy that he’s home for Christmas,” the happy boy enthused.
It was Jordyn’s mom Jennier Aleshare-Thwing, who arranged the little rendezvous with her husband the week before. She fought back tears as she saw her husband and son hug together. Thwing was stationed for two and a half months training at Camp Shelby.
Thwing flew in from Mississippi into Cleveland Hopkins International Airport. The man in red suit used the help of the mall crew to bring in the boy’s dad.
The couple has been together for 15 years.
