Kind Stranger Helps New Mom by Calming Her Crying Baby on Flight

Rebekka Garvison was on a plane heading to Atlanta to visit her firefighter husband, Nick. She brought with her their first baby, four-month-old Rylee. The problem was, Baby Rylee just would not settle down.

“She wouldn’t take her pacifier. I tried her toys, that wasn’t working, either,” Garvison told Inside Edition.

One passenger offered to help.

“She said, ‘Do you mind if I help, if I try?’ And I said, ‘Of course not,'” said Garvison.

The passenger reached for Baby Rylee, and in that moment, she immediately stopped crying. The baby did not just stop crying, she also fell asleep. Garvison was relieved and snapped photos of Baby Rylee sleeping in the stranger’s arms. She cradled her for the whole duration of the flight.

“I had tears in my eyes. I have to get pictures of this. I had to show my family and friends,” she said.
