Social media has the ability to bring people together, but who would have thought that two people can find “Insta-love” in just a click of a button? This is the story of Erica Harris and Arte Vann, who after connecting through Instagram, got married after meeting each other for the first time.

“What drew me to him is, a lot of men, you can tell how they are to women through their comments. I saw that Arte was very personal, and he was very attentive, and thought, ‘Wow this guy seems like a nice guy.’” Harris, a mother of three, told the Daily Mail.

Vann did a bold move by tagging her in a selfie , and Harris was flattered. The two got so close by sending each other flirty messages and playfully commenting on each other’s photos. The relationship was on fire that they exchanged “I love you’s” just one week after communicating.

Coming from a previous relationship with an abusive man, Harris was not sure if she was ready to fall in love again. She deleted her account, and Arte shortly followed after realizing that a lot was happening too fast and too soon. A few months later, Harris messaged Arte. “Fast forward to November, he goes back on Instagram. We reconnect, and we’re right where we left off,” she recalled. Turns out, Vann got into an accident, and after messaging each other, they came up with a plan to get hitched.

Love in the age of the internet can be bizarre, but for Vann and Harris, it was true love. A few seconds after seeing each other for the first time, they got married.

“I didn’t realize how much I love this man,” Harris told the Daily Mail. “Now that we’ve spent three days together, I can’t believe how much I love him.”

The couple’s love story was a hit on Instagram, the place where it all started. People have gone to wish the couple well, and while they are yet to figure out the demographics of actual married life, let’s all just wish them the best.
