This Mom with Terminal Cancer Asked Loved Ones to keep Her Alive in a Very Unique Way

Shortly before she passed away, a cancer patient shared an inspiring final message on Facebook. Surprisingly, it went viral, and as of the most recent count, it has already got about 8.2K likes and 900 shares.

On August 21, Seema Jaya Sharma, a mother of two, lost against her six-year battle with cancer. So, on behalf of her, Kalvin, the 38-year-old’s eldest son, shared an uplifting message on Facebook.

Seventeen-year-old Kalvin posted her final message, as well as her joke about wanting her last words to be the lyrics of 21 Second to Go by So Solid Crew.

The final post read:

“My mum passed away today at 14:10 and she wrote this as her final status…she wanted her last words to be ‘I got 21seconds to go!!! Hehe :P)

It was in 2009 when Seema knew about her cancer. Although she already received clearance three times, she wasn’t able to escape her fate and died last week. She became popular online after she fronted a Cancer Research campaign in 2013.

On Twitter, Seema received messages from random people, including the founding members of So Solid Crew, Harvey.

Lisa Maffia, a former member of the band, also paid tribute to Seema.

The message has been making rounds around the Internet already. Supports have in fact, shared their admiration for the band members for their stint on Twitter.

Harvey tweeted, “One minute I was MCing to Seema now she gone #RIP’ while Lisa paid tribute saying ‘Deeply saddened to hear about the passing of @SeemaJayaSharma you were a real fighter and an amazing woman. May your beautiful soul RIP xxx”.

Seema just wanted her friends and loved ones to just smile, laugh, have fun, and celebrate her life by wearing vibrant colors. Her final message has now amassed more than 8.2K likes and over 900 shares.

Upon knowing about her sickness, Seema just said, “We all want to hold on to life for some reason – I do not see it like this. For me, the pain will end. I cannot complain at all”.

For three times, she had successfully defeated the disease. And in 2013, she was chosen to be the face of a Cancer Research campaign.

Martin McGlown, the Head of Media Volunteer Liaison, expressed the team’s sadness by saying:

“We are deeply sorry to hear that Seema has passed away and out thoughts are with her family at his most difficult time. We were so grateful to Seema for sharing her story as part of our campaign and for all she did to help raise awareness of cancer. She had an incredible determination and was an inspiration to many.”

Last June, Seema revealed in an interview with the publication Ilford Recorder that she had already meticulously planned her funeral, where all visitors will have to wear dresses that are colorful.

Apparently, her approach to dying was really brave. She even said, “People try not talk about it. The only thing guaranteed in this world is birth and death”.
