Futuristic designs are an ongoing trend in the world of automotive design. What is unique about this trend is that these designs are not merely limited to the car’s exterior alone but also its interior design and specifications.
Japanese automotive brand Nissan adds brand new model in a long line of modern cars that come with a futuristic twist.
The aptly named Blade Glider is Nissan’s latest futuristic car model that has caught the attention of car enthusiasts around the world. The Blade Glider is reportedly an upgrade from Nissan’s previous Delta Wing model. It boasts an extra narrow front track and wide rear track to top off an impressive aerodynamic design.
It has a complex system of underbody diffusers that adds enough down force to keep this ride on the road. Unlike its predecessor, the Blade Glider has practical features that include passenger seats mounted behind the centralized pilot’s chair. Passengers can access the ride through upward swinging semi-butterfly doors.
Aircraft style control cockpits with blue tinted displays are what switch the car to life.
A spokesperson from Nissan says,
‘When BladeGlider matures into a production car, it could be Nissan’s first use of in-wheel motors. The goal was to revolutionize the architecture of the vehicle to provoke new emotions, provide new value and make visible for consumers how Zero Emissions can help redefine our conception of vehicle basic.’
With several futuristic models available in the market, this is one addition that is surely worth all that cent.
