If you have plans of traveling to Europe and to Persia, you can do so in style aboard the Golden Eagle Danube Express.
This newly renovated train, which is the flagship train of the Golden Eagle Luxury Trains and the Prince Michael of Kent, is set to travel from May to November. The aptly named Golden Eagle Danube Express offers a new kind of fine traveling with its 20 deluxe compartments each fitted with wood paneling, brass fixtures and a personal attendant that occupies four dedicated cars.
Two additional classic sleeping cars can bring the maximum numbers of passengers to 65, which all of whom have access to two fine dining cars and a lounge perfectly complimented with a bar. Your travel will also come with ease as the train also has an onboard doctor which provides an additional peace of mind for travelers.
The train is powered by stem and an M61 diesel locomotive which is the first for a European commercial carrier.
The Golden Eagle Danube Express offers 13 distinct journeys that cover the Balkan Explorer which is a 12 day trip from Istanbul to Venice, and the Heart pf Persia. It also includes a round trip tour from Tehran which makes a stop in Yazd, considered to be one of the oldest cities in the world and the ancient ruins of Persepolis.
The trips are offered from May through November and costs about $ 11,000 per person. This can come with several upgrades and optional excursions that are available. Travelers will have something to look forward to next year as the train will be available for 21 trips that includes Budapest to Champagne and Paris.
