For many, the best time to visit Japan is during the cherry blossom or the Sakura because it is the time when the weather becomes and cold chilly and the city becomes colored in pink as the petals start to fall and scatter their unique fragrance. However, at that time, the hotels are full and the streets are filled with tourists.
Sakura season often comes at the end of March or at the beginning of April. But usually, it depends on the location and the weather.
Based on history, flower viewing, or the Sakura Hanani, started during the Heian era, and has since influenced Japanese culture, from food, fashion, theater, and art.
The arrival of the blossoms is anticipated starting as early as March. By the time the flowers arrive, the entire country celebrates. At the peak season, the blooms are seen covering the mountain slopes and the parkways. As a result the city looks like as if it is covered with pink mist.
