The structure’s imposing exterior was built in an undulating, wave-like patter in alternate shades of grey to evoke a Balinese rice terrace. The creation of 15,000 square meters of cascading foliage, waterfalls, wall planters, and sky gardens throughout the property is inspired by the hotel-inside-a-garden concept. The back-to-nature theme is continued in the lobby, with its water features, moss-inspired carpets, and natural wood elements.
Gadgetry and machinery that are capable of measuring things with impressive accuracy are being utilized to help conserve resources. The sixteen-story property uses heat pumps to generate hot water, LED light bulbs and motion sensors, solar panels on the roof, energy-efficient air-conditioning, open-air guest corridors, and rain-harvesting and water-recycling program.
Due to the hotel’s seriousness in implementing its eco-friendly ethos, it has been given the highest award by the Singaporean government, which is the Green Mark Platinum Award, along with several other awards.
The designs of the rooms are minimalist with an emphasis on natural colors and textures. The best features highlight the hotel’s wood furniture and mossy headboards.
