Designed by architect Ashok Korgaonkar, the hotel opened its door few years ago on November 2012. Just 85 feet shorter than the Empire State Building in New York, JW Marriott Hotel in Dubai has 1,608 rooms, 2 ballrooms, 24 meeting rooms and a total of 5,100 square meters space for functions and events. It has 9 restaurants, 5 lounges and entertainment venues.
According to Rupprecht Queitsch of Marriott International, the hotel will fill a long identified gap in the market where groups, meetings and conventions of up to 1,000 people can meet, sleep and dine in one location. Marriott International hoped to turn Dubai a global conference market landscape with the presence of JW Marriot Marquis Dubai. Queitsch believed that Dubai is the perfect place for business, he further noted that the hotel is setting a new standard in business hotels around the globe.
Located in the Sheikh Zayed Road, Business Bay in Dubai, JW Marriott Marquis Dubai is inspired by date palms, an iconic symbol in Arab culture. It gives a lovely view of Burj Khalifa and the Business Bay, and the podium terrace has a beautiful pool with landscaped gardens.
