Cliffside Hanging Hotel in Peru Offers Experience of a Lifetime

Most couples would not want put their relationship in peril over money just because they want to have a thrilling vacation in some places. But for couples who really desire an adventure, you can now do that for only $300 a night.

Peru’s Natura Vive Skylodge Adventure Suite offers adventurous couples a chance to sleep in a transparent capsule wedged on the mountainside in the Peruvian Andes. Those brave enough can book one of three hanging capsules and enjoy the mystical views over the heartland of the Inca Empire. The package also includes breakfast and gourmet dinner.

But there’s a catch! To get to the luxurious pods, you’ll have to scale a 400-foot cliff face. The Skylodge is made up of three capsule suites, which can accommodate up to eight people. The hanging capsules a wedged at the top of a 400-foot mountain with a 300-degree view of Peru’s majestic Sacred Valley.

Each pod is made from aerospace aluminum and weather resistant polycarbonate. Each suite measures 24X8 foot, more spacious that your regular hotel rooms. It has four beds, a dining area and a private bathroom.

 

 

The Peruvian tour company Natura Vive owns and operates the Skylodge. Staffs of the company will guide guests to their pods. A dizzying climb up the pods through metal ladders and cables will greet the guests or they can hike the trail to the top.

 

Upon reaching their pods, guests can enjoy the view of the Sacred Valley. They will be served with gourmet dinner with wine. After sleeping under the stars, they will be awaken with a breakfast on the roof of their pod.

Descent from the pod will be made via zip lines or rappelling down the mountains.

The whole experience—climbing, zip lining, sleeping under the stars—costs about $300 per person, and that’s the best part of it. A truly unforgettable experience that comes in a reasonable price.
