Below is the 400th and last Ferrari Enzo ever built. It was specifically made for His Holiness Pope John Paul II. However, it is now up for sale. It will be included in the Pinnacle Collection of 30 cars that will be auctioned at Pebble Beach next month.
Although ever single Enzo car is made special, this one is more so. Apart from the fact that its original owner was the former leader of the Catholic Church, Enzo #400 was among the very few examples polished in Rosso Scuderia exterior paint.
Also, this beautiful car is fitted with distinct features, such as Daytona seats and carbon fiber rear spoiler. With only a total of 111 miles or 179 KM on its odometer, Enzo #400 still looks good as new. But, if this isn’t really special enough for you, you can open its trunk lid.
There you will see a note. Written in Italian by former Ferrari chairman Luca Di Montezemolo, the single sentence message says “This Enzo, unique in the history of Ferrari, as a sign of solidarity for those suffering, inspired by a Great Pope, John Paul II”.
The car was presented to the Pope on January 2005. But, he requested the company to sell it instead and donate all the proceeds to the victims of the Southeast Asia tsunami. It was bought by a man from the United States, where it remained in his possession for years. Now, it can be yours. Its estimated auction price is somewhere between $4,000,000 to $6,000,000.
