Beat the Heat and take a plunge in the world’s famous Aquatica Water Park in Orlando.
Aquatica Orlando is just 10 minutes away from downtown Orlando and 15 minutes from Orlando International Airport. This $50 million water park occupies 59 acres of the area and was officially open on April 2008. It is one of the water parks owned and operated by SeaWorld Parks and Entertainment.
On its first year of operation the park recorded more than 900,000 guests making it the fourth most visited water park in the US and eighth in the world.
The most popular ride in the park is the Dolphin Plunge where you have to slide inside the enclosed tube slides underwater with black and white Commerson’s dolphins surrounding the tube. The latest attraction in the park is the Ihus Breakaway Falls, a drop slide free-fall adventure. Bryan Nadeau, Vice President of Aquatica Orlando described it as the tallest, steepest and only multi-drop tower of its kind in Orlando.
Their other attractions include crazy water slides, twisters, racers, waves, lazy rivers, rapids and wave pools. For kids, Kata’s Kookaburra Cove would be perfect.
A single day Admission ranges from $52 to $57.
