These amazingly handcrafted sculptures are meant to remind us humans of our excessive use of plastic. All these pieces were created from plastic found floating in the sea or washing up on the shore.
The Oregon-based organization Big Bravo to Washed Ashore made most of the giant sculptures while the Tiger Shark and the Roxy Mermaid were Xandi Kreuzeder‘s creations. However, this post was not created to appreciate the artistic concepts and designs of the sculptures. It’s more of an eye-opener to make us think twice about the damage humans have done to this planet.
