We all probably know somebody who has a beautiful handwriting. And, just as we thought his is the best, we see another one that is also worth of praise. Basically, handwritten letters are something people must be proud of and cherished, especially today that the world is significantly overrun by technology.
Centuries ago, the affluent and educated people were recognized by their ability to create beautiful handwriting on paper. However, these days, it seems that calligraphy and handwriting are considered dying forms of art. In fact, it is very rare to see someone using pen and paper. People would rather reach out for their iPad or MacBook to create a design or to communicate.
Although it takes a while to master the study of handwriting, Jake Weidmann seems to make it look easy. He has this odd job you probably didn’t know existed – a master penman. He is one and the youngest of the 12 living penmen on the planet.
Jake is a member of the International Association of Master Penman, Engrossers and Teachers of Handwriting, or IAMPETH. In this profession, he does exactly what he wants, and that is to create beautiful characters using his hands, pen, and paper.
Of course, he wouldn’t have these incredible skills if he didn’t work hard for it. For several years, he wakes up at 4:30 in the morning to learn and perfect his talent. So, it is no longer a question as to why he has such great skills.
