These Nighttime Images of the Deserted LA Freeways are So Creepy, They’re Disturbing



Alex Scott is a talented photographer who started the project called “Nobody Walks in LA”.

For the past two years, Scott has walked the freeways and streets of Los Angeles in the middle of the night, normally starting at 2:00 a.m. to dawn, to capture a rare view of the city that most locals and tourists fail to see—a street with no people nor cars.

Los Angeles is known for having the worst traffic in California. Every day, the city’s streets are filled with vehicles driven by people who are looking for the best driving routes to get to their destination faster.

Recently, Scott has launched a campaign on crowd-funding Web site Kickstarter to raise funds for a large format hardcover coffee table book that features 100 of his favorite shots of the city. He’s even looking forward to reproducing it in two different sizes.
