Child prodigies have proven that even the smallest of babes can display some amazing talents even at their young age. From music to art, these prodigies have shown that they are capable of doing great things and have earned the admiration of people from all across the globe. And, Jonah Rocks is one such perfect example of a highly precocious child.

This Canadian little rock star first got hold of his very own drum set at the tender age of 3 years old. And, although the set was just comprised of plastic toy drums, he was made sounds from them that his parents initially thought was just adorable noise. They were, however, Jonah’s first attempt at making real music.

Unlike such musical prodigies as Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Johann Sebastian Bach, who came from established families of musicians, Jonah did not. His parents were in no way musically inclined.

This self-taught young drummer turned to YouTube, where he studied several  videos of his favorite musical pieces from several well-known bands in the industry. When he has chosen a specific song he wanted to play, he would learn it and eventually he started posting his own covers on the video channel.

Jonah was four years old when he shared his very first video on YouTube. The video was a rendition of the System of the Down’s song titled, “Toxicity”. Since then, this little drummer has caught the attention of several big named bands in the industry such as Blink 182, Rancid and Against Me and has even played with some of them.

Despite little Jonah’s worldwide fame, his parents have not pressured him into becoming a child star stating that they want the boy to live a normal life as possible. When not playing his drums, Jonah loves to play soccer, go ice skating and play video games with his friends.
