It’s Christmas time once again, which means it’s time for another SantaCon, the yearly Christmas costume-parade-meets-pub-crawl event.
Last Saturday, organizers of SantaCon told the crowd to look out for their reindeer and elves in the middle of a crowd of over thousands of individuals donned as the jolly old man, bar-hopping merrily throughout Brooklyn and Manhattan.
If you trace its origins, this event began in 1994 in San Francisco as a prankish, anti-consumerist gathering. Since then, it has spread into various cities all over the country. But among all, New York’s is probably the biggest as it draws thousands and thousands of people.
