Gerson is noted for his works including writing the screenplay for Monsters Inc. together with Andrew Stanton and Robert L. Baird. The trio also proceeded to do the prequel to the hit film Monster’s University.

Gerson co-wrote Big Hero 6 with Baird, the movie featuring the lovable Baymax, which was also a hit among different generations. Big Hero 6 went on to win several awards, including an Oscar for Best Animated Feature.

Gerson is also credited for his works on Inside Out as well as Up. He also lent his voice for some characters on his films.

Gerson’s educational background includes being an English major in New York’s Cornell University and then proceeding to gain a master’s degree in fine arts at a graduate school. He began his career as a writer for the NBC 90s sitcom Something So Right and even had stints on The New Addams Family. But it was when he became loyal to Pixar that his career officially bloomed.
