Themed parties are all the rage these days, but despite working with the best, sometimes, the best just doesn’t cut it—especially when it comes to flower arrangements and the limited colors can be frustrating to deal with. Don’t get us wrong, flowers are lovely, but sometimes, you wish they come in more than just reds and pastels—like rainbow roses.

Rainbow themes, for instance, just can’t get the flowers right. There are few specific flowers that come in all sorts of colors – tulips can be too expensive, after all. Anyway, for those who don’t want to spend too much on flower arrangements, here are some tips to get the colors you like – they work for any white one, but roses remain the favorite.

Top Tips

Rainbow roses needed to be fresh; otherwise, they may not absorb as much water, or their coloring may not go quite as well.

The stem has to be cut in a slant as it prevents the flower from sitting flat in its vase, which could stop it from taking in water.

For fancy flowers with more than one color, split the bottom part of the stem so that you can have as many colors as the number of segments you can make. Position each segment in a different glass so that it sits in its own color. A bit of tape may be required to ensure that the flower remains upright.

After 24 hours, you’ll see rainbow roses instead of rainbow bunches—and they’re absolutely gorgeous.
