Crime is something that the world deals with on a daily basis. Anyone can commit a crime even if they aren’t aware of it. A good example here is parking violations. Last year, there was an average of 112,000 people given driving citations in the United States, making it one of the biggest minor offenses in the country.
Any driver will tell you that getting a parking ticket isn’t fun at all. There is a lot of hassle that comes with even the tiniest lapse in judgment, not to mention the fees that can run up to hundreds of dollars. The worst part is that at the end of the day, it’s all about the mistake you made, and you’re forced to face the music.
But this Rhode Island woman bursts into laughter as the judge reads her violation like she’s contesting her parking ticket. In all honesty, she has every reason to do so. Find out more about this hilarious story below.
Woman Bursts into Laughter as She Is Cited for Parking Two Seconds Too Soon
On the local TV show Caught in Providence, this lady takes the stand for the most ridiculous parking ticket ever given. Her case was so silly that cameras caught the woman bursting into laughter in front of the judge as he read the violation.
Turns out, she had parked in a space two minutes before it was legal. In a mock angry tone that could earn him an Oscar award, the judge told the woman, “You violated the city ordinances. Our parking enforcement offices are second to none in the country.”
She tried to defend her actions by stating that her clock read 10:00 a.m. when she parked her car in the area. But the witty judge continued to play along with the joke until she began cracking up herself. At the end of the day, the woman was dismissed for her actions, and everyone got a good laugh over everything that happened.
This is certainly not the only parking ticket that will have you in stitches. A woman from England was cited a ticket despite escaping death by inches. It all started when a tree crashed on the car she drove with her 82-year-old mother and 11-year-old child. To her astonishment, she found a parking ticket stuck on the window the following day.
