“Black lemonade” sounds like the type of product that makes you stop pushing your cart in the middle of a grocery aisle just so you could check if you read the label right. Jokes aside, black lemonade is the current go-to drink for health fanatics, and it is easy to see why.
Black lemonade contains activated charcoal, which is a potent natural treatment effective in flushing toxins and chemicals out of the body. Activated charcoal is charcoal made from peat, coconut, and wood that has been heated to allow it to become very absorbent. Before making it to mainstream markets, it was administered in emergency rooms to treat food/alcohol poisoning or drug overdose.
Today, there is an abundance of activated charcoal everywhere. Beauty products, pills, and health drinks all have activated charcoal in them. Black lemonade is one of the most popular activated charcoal mixes. It is tasty, refreshing, and packed with nutrients. But before you head out to your nearest grocery to buy yourself a bottle, you might be interested in learning how to make this health drink on your own.
Here’s How You Can Whip Up Your Own Black Lemonade Mix
Lemonade on its own is very refreshing, especially now that the summer season has come rolling in. How about making its popular variant? All you need is a little amount of activated charcoal to give it extra detoxifying power. Activated charcoal capsules can be purchased in your nearest stores.
But a little warning before you begin, you need to check with your doctor first! Activated charcoal is known to interfere with some medications and may cause adverse effects if you happen to be allergic to it.
