The new invention from LG garnered a lot of attention when it was revealed at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2016, held in Las Vegas, Nevada. The display that it provides isn’t really top-notched—at least not yet—but it has something that other TVs do not have: this brand-new product can be folded, rolled up, and bent because of its flexible panel.
It measures up to 18 inches from corner to corner and is fully flexible. But that’s not everything LG has in store for us.
Although LG’s bendable TV screen currently has a resolution of 1,200 x 810 pixels, they are planning to create displays that will give a screen quality of 4 k, which is four times better than the average HD TV. They’re also planning to make bigger screens that measure up to 55 inches and even wider.
Not only will this new technology be a big hit to a tech enthusiast, it would also be a great choice for people who’d like to save space in their homes, not to mention the fact that since it can be folded, it’s portable too.
There hasn’t been any information about its price, but with its amazing features, it’s safe to say that it wouldn’t come cheap.
LG has taken TVs to a whole new level with their new invention. With this, once your done binge-watching, you can simply fold your TV like a poster.
