Most of us have already experienced getting our credit cards declined, and it’s an embarrassing experience. Although most of the time, it’s our own fault, it really is an uncomfortable situation to be in, especially when in front of a lot of other people.
However, this man from Oklahoma took the inconvenience extremely poorly.
The man (pictured above) is John Parsley, 62, and how he reacted when his credit card got declined is exactly what you should avoid doing.
Parsley was trying to check in at Comfort Inn and Suites in Alva, Oklahoma. But when the staff swiped his card, it was repeatedly declined. While most of us, if caught in the same situation, would apologize or seek other way to get our bills paid, Parsley decided to handle it the violent way.
John Parsley ran his truck into the lobby of the hotel, causing damages that amounted to $100,000. Luckily, no one was injured in the incident.
The whole event was caught on film, and Parsley was taken to the police station and was held on a bail of $1,000,000. He was charged with one count of malicious injury to property amounting to more than $1,000. He’s also facing another two felony counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.
The CCTV footage below shows how the man responded after realizing his credit card was declined.
