Everyone deserves a break. If you spend all of your time working, you’ll miss out on the things that bring real happiness. That’s why most people see to it that they take a day off from their job and spend hours doing what they love.
For adrenaline junkies and daredevils, when they get the chance to have a break, you’ll see them jumping off cliffs. For these people, it’s the thrill and excitement that make them hooked to doing such extreme feats.
However, these adventures don’t always end up the way we want it to. Sometimes, they give birth to tragedies.

After jumping off a cliff in order to dive into the waters at Kapena Falls, this 24-year-old daredevil’s brave attempt went wrong.
Shane Brown, a Honolulu resident, was very lucky to be alive after his diving stunt failed. In September, he attempted to perform a triple gainer, which involved a triple back flip, off a 35-foot ledge. But the attempt was not successful, sending Brown home with multiple injuries.
Brown was unable to jump away far enough from the cliff, and when he reached the waters, he ended up smashing his head on the rocks. Miraculously, he is still alive, although not unscathed. In fact, his injuries were quite severe that he had to undergo surgery.
According to Brown, he broke his shoulder blades, a shoulder socket, his L1 vertebra, and seven pairs of ribs. The University of Hawaii mechanical engineering student said that after his accident, the road to recovery has been pretty long and grueling.
