Niel Douglas was on a Ryanair flight from Stansted to Shannon Airport, County Clare, when he noticed someone had already taken his seat.
To his surprise, Douglas discovered that the stranger occupying his seat was his doppelganger! He was about to tell the guy to move, but when he saw his face, it was like looking at himself in the mirror.
So he didn’t ask the man to get out of his seat, the 32-year-old bearded Douglas instead took a selfie with his lookalike stranger named Robert Stirling from London and shared the photo on Twitter.

Since its upload, the photo of the two perfect strangers has already been shared almost 2,000 times. Both are sporting similar bushy ginger beards, smile, and hairstyle that made them look identical. They were even wearing similar black tops.
After the flight, the two went their separate ways only to find out later that they were also booked in the same hotel. The two end up enjoying the night in a nearby pub.
Stirling, 35, from Redbridge was in Ireland for a “weekend booze up.” He said that he intentionally swapped his seat so that a couple could sit together.
He added that he had not bumped into Douglas since that night.
Meanwhile, internet users are not convinced that the two are not related.
Douglas’ wife’s friend Lee Beattie shared the photo on Twitter and captioned it: “Guy on right is the husband of my friend. Guy on left is a STRANGER he met on a flight last night!”
After a while, she tweeted again, “I can’t stop looking at it. They are the same man.”
Another user Tanners, from Herefordshire, said,”They need a DNA test. They’re related!”
Even Ryanair spokesman said, “It just goes to show, when you fly Ryanair, you pay half the fares but have twice the fun.”
But there’s another photo that popped up. Could they be triplets?
Nathan McKeown, is the third man who has similarities with the first two. McKeown, an IT worker from Scotland, posted his picture sporting a ginger beard after Douglas’ viral post.
Users immediately noticed the similarities and commented that he was “number 3.”
However, McKeown seems to disagree. He replied to one user, “You’re the 3rd person to say this! I don’t see it!”
