If given the chance, would you go to a Donald Trump rally? If you are an avid supporter, then you just might.
Last Monday, one woman went to a Trump rally in Springfield, Illinois. But unlike the rest of the people, she did something one man would never forget. She sat in the front row, texted a bit, had a short chat with her friend, then ignored Trump to read her book. It was pretty obvious that she was completely unwilling to listen to anyone.
Although everybody is obliged to respect all the candidates, this mystery woman is indeed a genius. She taught a Trump supporter, who was trying to convince her to put down her book and listen, a lesson he would never forget—never mess with a person who is busy reading her book, even if a presidential candidate is delivering his speech in front.
According to reports, the man spent about 20 seconds watching the unidentified woman read her book, which is believed to be Claudia Rankine‘s Citizen: An American Lyric. Then he appeared like he was contemplating about what he should do about the situation.
Finally, he made the decision to give her a tap on her shoulder and say what was on his mind, of course with the support of a lady friend. But while Trump was still in the middle of the speech, the three went on to have a full confrontation. Thankfully, the lady hero handled the situation well, triumphantly ending the conversation by returning to her book.
The incident was caught on camera by Vic Berger. His footage, which is expected to be submitted to the National Archives, was shared on Twitter with the caption, “Don’t interrupt a black woman if she’s reading Claudia Rankine’s Citizen in the middle of a Trump rally.”
