Cops Surprise Bride with Touching Father-Daughter Dance to Honor Her Fallen Officer Dad

After Kirsten Mundell‘s father was killed in the line of duty when she was only 16 years old, he left a void in her heart that she thought would never be filled again.

Fast forward to six years later, on one of the most important days of her life, her father’s fellow officers surprised the young woman with a heartwarming father-daughter dance on her wedding. It is their simple way of paying homage to her fallen officer dad.

The touching moment was captured by Seattle photographer Angela Lyons. “It was pretty overwhelming,” she told the Daily News. “She’s a very strong girl (but) she broke down.”

Kirsten made sure her father, sheriff’s deputy Kent Mundell‘s, presence was felt, leaving his police jacket and photo in the front row.
