Cosplay, derived from the words “costume play”, is considered one of the coolest forms of art nowadays. The reason for this is that it allows a person to unleash his creative side while imitating his favorite movie, TV, cartoon, or video game characters. However, there are cosplayers, the people who cosplay, who manage to rise above the rest and take this art to a whole new level.
Over the years, this art has become a popular hobby and cosplayers usually get together and dress up in striking costumes made with keen attention to details. Although there are already tons of cosplayers out there, we present to you some of the sexiest among them:
7. Anna Faith Carlson

Anna Faith Carlson is a typical teen from Daytona Beach, Florida, who became an instant online sensation after adopting the identity of Queen Elsa in the Disney animated movie Frozen. Because of her newfound fame, she has landed lucrative TV deals and exclusive modeling contracts.
Since then, she has been making appearances on televisions and magazines. She even received an invitation to a royal party in the United Arab Emirates. Although she became known as the “real life Elsa”, she also cosplayed other characters, including the DC Comics character Harley Quinn.
6. Ginny McQueen
Known as “G-Chan” in the cosplay world, Ginny McQueen is a cosplay artist who started cosplaying in 1998. She attended her first convention in that same year, wearing a costume from the Japanese anime manga series Gunsmtih Cats.
Since then, she has been featured in various websites and magazines, including Cosmode issues 24 and 30. She was also featured on MTV and participated in numerous conventions all over the world. McQueen became popular for her costume’s attention to detail.

5. Marie-Claude Bourbonnais
Marie-Claude Bourbonnais, a Canadian glamour model and cosplayer, worked as a costume and fashion designer before she started a professional modeling career. Her first modeling gig was in the 2008 calendar for Dream Team, which was sponsored by the companies Molson Export and RadioX.
In that same year, she posed for an advertising campaign for New York Fries, a fast-food restaurant franchise in Canada. She continued to work as a model for different magazines, including Elle Canada, FHM Philippines, PlayStation Official Magazine, Summum, People, Toronto Sun, and People. She also posed for charity.
In 2009, she started cosplaying and created costumes for herself. She was later invited as a speaker for the Anime Weekend Atlanta in 2012, and participated in various conventions, including the Cape & Kimono 2010 and 2011, Nadeshicon 2014, and Montreal Comic-Con 2014.
4. Paula Sabrina Vasquez
Paula Sabrina Vasquez, also known as “the crystal shoe” on social media, is an Argentine cosplayer. She is actually a graphic design student, focusing on digital retouch and manipulation. She only does cosplay as a hobby.
It was only in 2010 when she started cosplaying. However, she still became popular because of the twisted-mind and weird characters she portrays, including the Mad Hatter, Harley Quinn, Alice Lidell and Elizabeth Comstock.

3. Samantha
Samantha, along with her husband Brandon, comprises the cosplay duo, TheBird – TheBee. Samantha is the bird while Brandon is the bee.
Her hobbies include reading, traveling, gardening, and recycling. Through the years, she developed an interest in cosplay. The famous characters she has adopted include Tinkerbell, Dracarys, and Queen Khaleesi.
2. Linda Le
Linda Le, also known as “Vampy Bit Me” or “Vampy”, is an American cosplayer, costume designer, model, and an Internet sensation of Vietnamese descent.
At the age of 12, Linda became popular for dressing up as video game characters. Her early fame helped pave the way for more cosplay opportunities. Her works were later featured in the showcase book, Otacool 2, of the Japanese toy and collectible company Kotobukiya. She also later collaborated with other companies and artists in the United States and Japan.
She has participated in over 200 American fan conventions already, starting from 2008 to 2012. In 2010, she was even called by Amped Asia as the “most universally attractive Asian girl on the planet due to her geekiness”. Also, in 2013, FHM Singapore featured her on the cover of their December issue.
1. Alodia Gosiengfiao
Alodia Almira Arraiza Gosiengfiao, widely known as Alodia Gosiengfiao, is a Filipina cosplayer, singer, actress and model, who rose to fame as a celebrity endorser, and an ambassador and VJ for Animax-Asia.
In 2009, 2010 and 2012, Alodia was listed in FHM Philippines’ list of sexiest women, ranking #87, #76, and #20 in that order. In 2013, she posed as the cover girl of the same magazine. Also, she was named by UNO Magazine as one of the most influential women in the Philippines.
This Filipina cosplayer became involved in cosplay after she contacted various anime and video game enthusiasts in an Internet fan forum. At the age of 15, she joined various cosplay competitions within Metro Manila. Her first cosplay character was the Priestess from the online game Ragnarok Online.
She began getting attention in the competition and since then, she cosplayed a number of characters from more than 40 movies, animes, and video games, including Witchblade, K-On!, Paradise Kiss, and Final Fantasy X-2. Alodia is now a multi-awarded cosplayer, participating in conventions and judging local and international competitions.
The cosplayers included in this list have become celebrities in their own right and garnered a huge amount of following on social media. Of course, it isn’t only their costumes that made them popular. It’s also their pure talent in creating these wonderful costumes that established them at the pedestal.
